In 2019, Turraburra was acquired by custodians of the Iningai people through YACHATDAC with the support and guidance of the Indigenous Land & Sea Corporation (ILSC).

Turraburra occupies an area of 8,870 hectare and is located 120km North of Barcaldine in Central Western Queensland.

Turraburra is quickly working towards becoming environmentally and economically sustainable, providing a place of learning and teaching.

Turraburra is an important example of Indigenous management in the conservation and extension of culture and best practice land management in the arid zone of Australia, under a changing climate.
